Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament Will Be Played, Coronavirus Is A Concern
The Oregon Ducks and the rest of the Pac-12 will play basketball this week as the Conference of Champions adds restrictions for Coronavirus(CO-VID 19).
This week the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament will take place at T-Mobile Arena. The Pac-12 Conference is doing some things to make it safer for those attending and the players. They will be limiting access to the locker room, as well as adding hand sanitizing stations around the arena.

The Coronavirus has caused the cancellation of several events including the Ivy League Conference Tournament who will send the leaders of both the Men’s and Women’s respective conference standings as the representatives for the NCAA Tournament. While not necessarily an event for all, the MGM Grand announced they are temporarily closing the buffet offerings on their properties over Coronavirus concerns.
Meanwhile, the Oregon Ducks will arrive in Las Vegas over the next few days. The Ducks as the 1 seed will have a first-round bye and will take on the winner of the Wednesday matchup between Utah and Oregon State.
The season accolades started coming in for the Payton Pritchard earlier this week. He was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year and was also named the USBWA District XI Player of the Year. It was an award also won by former Duck Dillon Brooks. Pritchard is on pace to become just the third player to average 20 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and average better than 40 percent from three-point range.
The Ducks split the season series with Oregon State and swept the series with the Utah Utes. Oregon hits the floor at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday at Noon. The Semifinal Round is set for Friday and the Final on Saturday.
