Marcus Mariota Helping Provide Meals To Students In Hawaii
With the NFL Season on hold, players have some extra time on their hands and Marcus Mariota is making the most of the time off.
COVID-19 has affected our way of life also closing down schools throughout the country. School is a dependable place for children to get meals and many schools are open several hours a day to help provide for their respective communities. In Honolulu, Marcus Marota is helping kids through his foundation by providing meals.
Mariota is helping fulfill a need in the Honolulu community by giving. He is providing over one thousand meals a day to public school students. They will be grab and go meals and available at two locations. The breakdown will be 600 breakfasts and 400 lunches each weekday.
Mariota told the Honolulu Star Advertiser that he was ‘blessed to be in a position to help’. He added that he thought it was a responsibility to do so as well.

The former Oregon Football Quarterback just signed a new deal with the Las Vegas Raiders and will likely be the backup to Starter Derek Carr. Shortly after he joined the Raiders that he was a part of Derek’s team. It will be interesting to watch his career in Las Vegas.
Marcus Mariota did not have the easiest time with the Tennessee Titans where he went through several coaching changes in his time there and never really was able to find offensive consistency when it came to protection and players to throw the ball to. He also had several injuries over his six seasons with Tennessee. He now has a fresh start with a new team.
Mariota’s Motiv8 Foundation will provide meals through April 30th and could go longer if schools in the state decide a longer closure is needed.
