Dan Lanning's making an all-out push for Lane Kiffin's top portal target

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning isn't giving up on landing a five-star prospect out of the transfer portal, who is also a big-time target for Lane Kiffin and LSU.

Dan Lanning is refusing to back down as five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton closes in on his future program.

Seaton, the No. 1 OT and No. 13 overall prospect in the transfer portal, has been highly recruited by Lanning and the Oregon Ducks, alongside the Miami Hurricanes, Texas Longhorns, and LSU Tigers.

After spending a few days in Baton Rouge with the Tigers and head coach Lane Kiffin, all eyes are on Seaton as more recruiting analysts log expert predictions that he will commit to LSU.

However, Lanning made a big-time push to earn Seaton's commitment, making a trip to pay the elite offensive tackle in Atlanta.

Jordan Seaton isn't saying no to Dan Lanning

While On3 and Rivals give the Tigers a 99.9 percent chance to land Seaton, the Ducks' refusal to give up on his recruitment clearly means something to the transfer. After Lanning visited with him, Seaton shared a picture with the Oregon head coach on social media, welcoming him to Atlanta.

Seaton cancelled his visit to Oregon to spend an extra day or so in Baton Rouge, seemingly taking the Ducks off the board. However, Lanning's trip down south may have put Oregon back in bargaining position to snatch Seaton out from under Kiffin's nose.

Lanning and his staff have already brought in a slew of elite players from the portal, so even if the Ducks can't land Seaton's commitment, it won't be the end of the world.

From four-star defensive lineman D'antre Robinson from North Carolina to three-star cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. from Ohio State, Lanning has landed 14 commitments out of the transfer portal, including five four-star and seven three-star prospects.

However, the addition of an offensive lineman like Seaton would perfectly round out an O-Line to set up returning quarterback Dante Moore for success as he looks to prove his worth as the Ducks' QB1.
