The 2024 college football season has finally reached its conclusion and the Oregon Ducks finished near the top at No. 3 in the final AP Top 25 Poll. Now, everyone is already looking ahead to the upcoming season and who exactly will come out on top.
As everyone tosses around their predictions, projections, and expectations for the 2025 season, the Oregon Ducks remain a top team alongside the newest National Champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
FanDuel Sportsbook has already listed the Ducks as the second-favorite team to win the 2026 National Championship, only behind Ohio State but tied with the Texas Longhorns.

Alongside the Ducks' favorable odds for the national title, Oregon's projected starting quarterback Dante Moore has been listed on numerous lists for the Heisman Trophy favorite, including FanDuel's.

Over the past few seasons, the Ducks have repeatedly found a way to transform semi-successful quarterbacks into Heisman finalists (i.e. Dillon Gabriel and Bo Nix). The expected heir of the Oregon quarterback room has a chance to do it once again as Moore leads the Ducks into their second season as a part of the Big Ten.
247Sports projected the next 10 National Champions ahead of Ohio State's victory over Notre Dame on Monday night and listed the Ducks as their expected winners in 2026, following a Longhorn National Championship in 2025.

Because of Oregon's regular-season win over the Buckeyes, its Big Ten title game victory, and its overall mathematical ranking (based on record, points for, and points against), the Ducks actually laid claim to the "unclaimed" 2024 national title.

The Ducks are scheduled to kickoff their 2025 campaign at home against the Montana State Bobcats who will be coming off of a loss in the FCS Championship game. The future is bright for Dante Moore and the Ducks.
