The Oregon Ducks are looking to bring yet another top prospect into their 2026 recruiting class as they eye four-star running back DeZephen Walker from Missouri. Following two visits from Oregon coaches in January, Walker had a big compliment for the Ducks program.
"I know that they can put guys in the league," Walker said, most likely referencing the recent success of former Oregon running back Bucky Irving during his rookie season.
Walker, who is from Missouri and has been projected to commit to a program a little closer to home, has notably grown warmer on Oregon as his recruiting process has unfolded.
Currently, head coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks have the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation with nine blue-chip commits, including six 4-star prospects. Oregon brought in the No. 4 class of 2025 with 19 blue-chip prospects, only trailing the Texas Longhorns, Georgia Bulldogs, and Alabama Crimson Tide.
Oregon extended an offer to Walker in January 2023 and the four-star prospect has yet to visit the Ducks in Eugene. However, the highly-coveted running back has visited the Tennessee Volunteers, Kansas Jayhawks, and the national runner-ups Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Ducks, who are coming off of a historic football season, already have a commitment from four-star running back Tradarian Ball who is also in the class of 2026 as well as three-star RB Jordon Davison from the class of 2025.
Walker has yet to announce if he will visit Oregon or not as his senior season rapidly approaches and the Ducks continue to try to lure him to that team out west.
