Tez Johnson became a beloved figure on the Oregon football team during his two seasons with the Ducks. It didn't hurt that head coach Dan Lanning was slightly swayed to bring Johnson into the program by former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix–yes, the one who is Johnson's adoptive brother.

As Johnson prepared for the upcoming NFL Draft, he became known as "unguardable" while putting in work at the Reese's Senior Bowl and looked to prove more of the same at the NFL Combine.

While speaking to media at the Combine, Johnson was (unsurprisingly) asked about Nix, who just finished his record-breaking rookie season with the Denver Broncos, and the wideout gave Duck fans hope that they could see more of the Oregon to Denver pipeline.

"Like we always say as our family, 'haters gonna hate.' Bo [Nix] does what he does," Johnson said. "A lot of people think in the beginning, 'Oh, wow, this kid is not as great as everybody thinks he is.' He's the best quarterback in the Draft; that's why you picked him in the first round, and I'm glad that Sean Payton got him."

Johnson went on to talk more about how he had zero surprise when Nix began to find success with the Broncos and gave a round of applause to both his brother and the Denver organization for giving him the chance.

Johnson is one of a dozen Oregon Ducks looking to boost their Draft stock at this week's Combine. When the wideout takes the field on Saturday, March 1, he will be competing alongside his teammates Traeshon Holden (WR), Jordan James (RB), and Dillon Gabriel (QB).

The 2025 NFL Combine is broadcast on the NFL Network. Quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs are scheduled to take the field at noon on March 1.
