Oregon running back Jordan James took the nation by storm as he led the Ducks through their first season in the Big Ten and helped the team capture its first-ever Big Ten championship. Now, he is looking to do more of the same at the next level as he prepares for the 2025 NFL Draft.
While putting in work during the postseason and looking towards the Combine, James quickly became a hot commodity among NFL organizations.
James hit the ground running in Indianapolis, both literally and metaphorically, as he attended formal meetings with at least a half-dozen teams before he ever stepped onto the field at the Combine.
As of Friday morning (Feb. 28), James had already met with the Washington Commanders, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Pittsburgh Steelers––six of the 32 teams in the NFL.
James was the first-ever recruit that head coach Dan Lanning signed to Oregon, and during his last season with the Ducks, the running back solidified his value as a star Oregon player.
Jordan James college stats (2024-25)
- 233 carries
- 1,267 rushing yards
- 15 rushing touchdowns
- 26 receptions
- 209 receiving yards
Throughout his career at Oregon, James earned a resounding 2,562 total yards and 32 total touchdowns. Keep in mind, James was playing behind former Oregon running back Bucky Irving, who just finished his incredible rookie season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for a majority of his collegiate career.
James and his fellow Duck offensive stars will take the field at the NFL Combine on Saturday, March 1. The day will be broadcast on the NFL Network beginning at 10 a.m. PT.
