One of Oregon's top targets throughout the 2024 season is coming back next year.
On Tuesday, Evan Stewart, who started his collegiate career with the Texas A&M Aggies before transferring to Oregon, announced that he would return for another season with the Ducks.
Stewart had an impressive 48 catches for 613 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns throughout the year, all while playing a true WR3 position behind Tez Johnson and Traeshon Holden – who both declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Stewart has just one year of eligibility remaining in his collegiate career which he chose to spend with Oregon instead of declaring for the Draft as well.
While Stewart wasn't the No. 1 guy downfield for quarterback Dillon Gabriel, Oregon fans got to see flashes of his brilliance and just how promising his future is with the Ducks throughout the season.
The wideout spent two seasons at Texas A&M where he wasn't seeing the production levels that he had hoped for, which quickly changed once he joined head coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks in Eugene.
Over his three years of collegiate football, Stewart has earned 139 receptions for 1,776 yards and 11 touchdowns as well as three punt and kick returns for 17 total yards.
Earlier on Tuesday, Lanning received a commitment from former Florida State wide receiver Malik Benson who entered the transfer portal after the Seminoles' abysmal season.
With Benson and Stewart's experience combined with incoming freshman Dakorien Moore, the Oregon wide receiver room is looking as poromising as ever as the Ducks head into their second season as a part of the Big Ten.
