This weekend marked the second weekend of official visits for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks. Last weekend produced a ton of promising developments, and a commitment from linebacker Toa Satele for the Ducks. While the promising developments are always good, the hope this weekend was to land more commitments to continue building this class.
Dan Lanning and the Ducks have made a yearly tradition out of signing top 5 classes nationally, and as the Oregon class currently ranks 9th in the country, there's work to do. The good news for the Ducks is that several of the top targets are still undecided and this class could quickly start rising up the rankings nationally.
Leaving the second weekend of official visits, Oregon appears to be making major waves with several targets across the board, and this class could quickly grow with the Ducks trending for a trio of their top targets.
The 3 potential next commitments for the Oregon Ducks
George VanSandt - Tight End
Coming into the weekend, all eyes were on in-state tight end recruit George VanSandt to commit to the Ducks. After decommitting from Arkansas, and scheduling an official visit to Eugene, the Ducks looked to be in the driver's seat for the local product. Leaving the weekend, Oregon will watch to see if they can potentially add another commitment to a class that's starting to take shape.
Malachi Garlington - Wide Receiver - Washington State commit
Ahead of the weekend, Washington State commit and in-state wide receiver recruit Malachi Garlington picked up an offer from the Oregon Ducks. It appears that the visit couldn't have gone better for the Ducks' as Rivals' recruiting experts are already predicting the Cougars commit to flip to Oregon. At 6-foot-3, Garlington brings great size and an explosive ability after the catch for the fans to be excited about if the Ducks can close out this recruitment.
Achilles Reyna - Edge Rusher
The Ducks are looking to go into enemy territory and reel in a commitment as Oregon battles for Washington native Achillies Reyna. The Seattle Native has been predicted to the Ducks by Rivals' Steve Wiltfong, Greg Biggins, Brandon Huffman, and Max Torres, as everyone believes this is Oregon's battle to lose. Reyna just started playing football in 2025, and has already become a fast rising recruit with a ton of potential to tap into as he continues to develop.
