Oregon head coach Dan Lanning has already kept his foot on the gas pedal in regards to recruiting one of the best classes in the program's history. However, following the big-time win over Ohio State, the Ducks have seen an even bigger wave of recruits heading in their direction.
Immediately following the game, it was reported that Oregon and Lanning had received a few "silent" commitments from prospects and since then, the commitments have poured in.
On Sunday, four-star defensive lineman from the class of 2026 Tomuhini Topu announced his commitment to the Ducks and quoted Lanning's famous motto, "The grass is greener in Eugene."
The Ducks even received a few flips over the weekend as the nation turned its attention to Oregon, the newest No. 2 team in the country.
Three-star defensive lineman Viliami Moala flipped his commitment from USC and Lincoln Riley to Lanning and the Ducks. Similarly, On3's Steve Wiltfong shared that he expects current Baylor prospect Kaleb Burns, a four-star linebacker, to switch to the Ducks in the near future.
Football analysts, fans, and reporters were stunned by the noise-level, energy, and performance at Autzen Stadium over the weekend. And, according to the current recruiting scene, high school players were equally impressed.
As always, Lanning shared the tweet that Oregon fans are eager to see, a simple Duck emoji, to signify a new commitment to the program.
Since the game against Ohio State, Lanning has already posted the duck twice and more are expected to come soon. This weekend, the Ducks will take a trip to Purdue and a win on the road may bring even more Ducks to Eugene.
Oregon and Purdue are scheduled to kickoff at 5 p.m. PT on Friday, Oct. 18.
