Official Visit season is underway in college football as every weekend will mark a turning point for each recruiting class. The Oregon Ducks are looking to repeat with another top 5 recruiting class, but in order to get there Dan Lanning and the staff are going to need to make a run on the trail. When the visits get underway this Summer, 5 targets could make for a dream class for the Ducks.
The 5 dream recruiting targets for the Oregon Ducks
Hayden Strepp - Cornerback
After Donte Wright flipped from Georgia to Miami, Oregon was going to need to push for Nevada 5-star Hayden Strepp, but after also losing Ducks commit Ai'King Hall to Miami, Strepp is a top priority. Strepp is a lenghty cornerback with a ton of talent who'd be fun to watch develop with this coaching staff as he clearly has the talent to become the next star on the outside for Oregon.
Landen Williams-Callis - Running Back
If Oregon is going to make a quiet splash at any position, continuing to load the running back room would be a great strategy. The Ducks have quietly built themselves into a contender for Texas native Landen Williams-Callis who ranks as a top 50 player nationally and the 3rd ranked running back in the country. Texas A&M is going to be tough to beat out for the In-State recruit, but he'd mark an incredible splash for the Ducks.
Xavier Sabb - Wide Receiver
It's going to be tough for anyone to beat out Alabama for Xavier Sabb as his two brothers play for the Crimson Tide, but Oregon has made a serious run. Sabb has an elite athletic profile, and could play either safety or wide receiver at the next level, but the ability after the catch is beyond impressive. Adding an elite playmaker like Sabb to the pipeline would give Oregon another major weapon to build around long-term.
Marcus Fakatou - Defensive Line
Heading into official visit season, Marcus Fakatou declared that he has no leader among his finalists, giving Oregon a great chance to make a run for the 5-star. Fakatou reclassified into the 2027 class, and remains one of the most physically gifted recruits at the position. As Oregon will lose a ton of elite NFL level talent after this season, reloading on the defensive line would be a major win.
Dakota Guerrant - Wide Receiver
For most of this recruiting cycle, Dakota Guerrant has looked like Oregon's top target regardless of position. The Michigan Native is a top 50 recruit nationally and the 8th ranked wide receiver in the class which would make for a major addition to the class. Guerrant is a great route runner, and pairing him long term with a quarterback like Will Mencl who has elite arm talent could make for a fun combo in Eugene.
