The Oregon Ducks Football team is not the only team gearing up for the 2015 season. The Oregon Volleyball team has also started practices in anticipation of another season of action, but this year it will begin on the road rather than at home. Following two exhibition matches the team will become road warriors with eleven straight games on the road to begin the 2015 regular season.
The Oregon Ducks will begin in the Northeast with trips through Philadelphia, New York, Washington DC, to take on St. John’s, Navy, Temple, LIU Brooklyn, and George Washington. The road trip continues to Texas to take on Florida and Nebraska. All this before starting the Pac-12 slate with road trips to Arizona and Corvallis to take on Oregon State. Oregon will have some heavy hitters returning for 2015 including Martenne Bettendorf, but will lose a key cog from last season in Liz Brenner who will focus her athletics strictly on Women’s Basketball in 2015.
The Pac-12 Coaches poll released earlier this week pegged the Ducks to finish 4th in the Conference, the third time in four years they were selected to finish in that position. Stanford was chosen to win the Conference with eleven first place votes followed by Arizona State and Washington.
The Oregon Ducks Volleyball team begin the regular season on August 28th against Temple in Philadelphia.
