The Oregon Ducks Basketball team is getting set to host a four star Power Forward that has basketball in his genes. Former NBA Star Michael Cage who played in the NBA from 1984-2000 has a son, M.J. Cage is on the Class of 2016 radar for several teams including the Oregon Ducks and will be on the University of Oregon campus for a visit this weekend according to Andrew Nemic from the Oregonian.
Right now, the Ducks are not in his top three according to 247Sports which lists San Diego State and Kentucky as his likley destinations. However, a visit to the Pacific Northwest could change things. According to the report from the Oregonian, Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman recently visited the four-star recruit.
"“Dana came down last week, met with us and saw M.J. practice. We all talked after practice – me, him and his mom. It was very positive. I was very impressed with his presentation about his program, the players that are coming in, the school, what it has to offer.”Michael Cage spoke to the Oregonian concerning his Son M.J. Cage and His Recruitment."
M.J. Cage is listed as the sixth best Power Forward out of California at six foot nine and two-hundred fifteen pounds. In the Pac-12 he is also on the radar of the UCLA Bruins. If a commitment is in the works for Cage, he would be the third for the Oregon Ducks Class of 2016 which currently has Point Guard Payton Pritchard and Small Forward Kevin Smith.
