Another former Oregon Duck has made it in the NBA, in the Developmental League. The Indiana Pacers already have former player Joseph Young on the roster. He has seen limited playing time so far this season. The Pacers D-League team have signed former player Jalil Abdul-Bassit to the roster for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Abdul-Bassit played in all but one game his senior season with the Oregon Ducks and was worth another look. He averaged just over eight points per game and hit over 42 percent from three point range, good enough for second best in Oregon Ducks Basketball history.
To close out his College career, Jalil Abdul-Bassit helped lead the Oregon Ducks to the NCAA Tournament in 2015 scoring 12 points with a steal in a Round of 32 loss against the Wisconsin Badgers. All 12 points in the game were three pointers. He was the second leading scorer in the game to Senior Joseph Young.
Bassit was a member of the Oregon Ducks and saw the NCAA Tournament in each of his two seasons with the team from 2013-2015.
