The Oregon Ducks faced a big challenge on their home court on Friday night hosting an Arizona State Sundevils team that has given up just 51 points per game on Defense this season. Oregon scored the first two points of the game and mid way through the first quarter had control leading 7-5. They forced Arizona into two turnovers. Arizona State would not go away so easily. This was a game where Oregon would have to win the game quarter by quarter and solid Defense gave the home team a 16-10 lead following the first quarter.

The Ducks would hit a big three pointer but hold Arizona to an over 3 minute scoring drought with the Sun Devils going 0 for 5 from the floor. Oregon could not extend their lead as Arizona State would score to pull within 3, 21-18. Lexi Bando would hit a wide open three point shot with 10 seconds left in the half giving Oregon a 27-20 lead over the Sun Devils. Arizona State would tie the game with just under 7 minutes left in the third quarter, but a turnover would give Oregon the ball and the chance to retake the lead. Cazorla would pass the ball into Alleyne who had it stripped for a three point shot from Arizona State who took a 3 point lead 30-27. The Sundevils would hit three shots in a row and extend their lead to 35-27 with just over 4 minutes to go in the third quarter. ASU would put up 15 unanswered points in the quarter.

The Sun Devils showed in the third quarter why they are ranked in the Top 15 outscoring and out running Oregon 26-6 in the Quarter. The Ducks would find themselves down 13 entering the 4th Quarter.

A bad third quarter would do the Ducks in as they fell to Arizona State at home 54-45. The Sun Devils did what they had to do to win. For the game Jillian Alleyne had 19 rebounds and 15 points to lead Oregon. Lexi Bando and Maite Cazorla with 12 and 10 respectively.
