The Oregon Ducks finished the 2015-16 Season in the Elite 8, and lost two key players to graduation in Dwayne Benjamin and Elgin Cook. On Sunday Dana Altman and the Ducks gained some height in the addition of Forward Kavell Bigby-Williams for next season. The Junior College Transfer and All American is 6 foot 10 and 230 pounds.
According to 247Sports and Matt Prehm, Bigby-Williams commited to Oregon on the way back to Wyoming following a visit to Oregon last weekend. He joins Keith Smith, M.J Cage, and Payton Pritchard for commits in the Class of 2017 for the Oregon Ducks. Prehm added that Oregon may have to more scholarships open, one for sure. If Dylan Ennis is granted an additional season of eligibility he would use one, if he is not then Dana Altman would have some flexibility to go after another JUCO player or two for next season.
The Oregon Ducks received word that Chris Boucher would be granted an additional year of eligibility during their NCAA Tournament run, if Altman and the Ducks can also have Ennis for an additional season the experience returning will get a nice shot in the arm. Even though Ennis only saw the court briefly this past season, his knowledge of the game allowed him to be more of an influence from the bench as part coach and part cheerleader. It was enough to help Oregon get to the Elite 8.
