USA Today: Mock Draft Lands DeForest Buckner In Baltimore

The NFL Draft is here and DeForest Buckner could land anywhere from 2nd to 8th in the First Round, USA Today has him becoming a Raven.

On Thursday, USA Today released their final Mock Draft before the NFL Draft on Thursday night. Of course, they have had six opportunities to refine it for the best possible way that the Draft will go in the first round, but will it?

Two Quarterbacks are slated to come off the board first with Los Angeles and Philadelphia selecting from the cream of this year’s crop in Carson Wentz and Jared Goff, followed by San Diego who is likely going Defensive. Of course the big question is will Oregon Defensive End DeForest Buckner remain a West Coast guy. Will he go to San Diego, or possibly land in San Francisco with his former coach in Chip Kelly and team mate Arik Armstead? will he land in Baltimore?

USA Today sees DeForest Buckner heading to the Ravens and Mississippi Tackle Laremy Tunsil heading to San Diego at number three. Of course, if Buckner is missed by Baltimore my suspicion is he will be too good to pass up by San Francisco.

If Buckner is gone I do however see and agree with USA Today that Kelly and the 49ers would gamble on Ezekiel Elliott from Ohio State with the number seven pick. Elliott has the speed and ability that Kelly is looking for and he could be a Starter from Day one for San Francisco.

Buckner and Goff are the lone two players from the Pac-12 Conference selected in the ‘Mock’ First Round.
