Mike Riley has made some changes at Nebraska following 2016, most notably with resetting his Defense with a new Defensive Coordinator.
Last season Nebraska was on the right side of the scoreboard over Oregon. It was a game that saw Royce Freeman injured early. Through the rest of the season he was not the same.
After a promising 7-0 start, the Cornhuskers finished the year with a thud at 9-4 and a loss to Tennessee in the Music City Bowl. Back to Back Road Losses at Wisconsin and Ohio State were just part of a brutal Big Ten schedule. Against Ohio State, Riley and Company managed just a field goal in a blowout loss.
Nebraska has a tuneup with Arkansas State before traveling to Oregon in the second week of the 2017 season. The schedule flips in their favor in Conference play as they will host Ohio State and Wisconsin and travel to Penn State late in the year.
