The Oregon Ducks are heading into another pivotal weekend on the recruiting trail as Dan Lanning and the staff gear up for another official visit weekend. The staff seemingly crushed the first weekend of official visits, and they already landed a commitment from elite linebacker Toa Satele. This weekend has a chance to be another home run for the staff as they look to continue building out this class.

Oregon will have a great mix of current Oregon commits, highly sought after targets, and players the Ducks could land this weekend. This has a chance to be a great weekend for the Ducks, sparking the team into an incredible run to close out the Summer if the team picks up another commitment or two from visitors.

What to look for in Oregon's second official visit weekend

Commits on campus

Having players who are already committed back on campus is always big for the coaching staff, as they turn into extra recruiters who can attack recruitments from a different angle. This weekend, Oregon will only have one commit on campus as 4-star running back CaDarius McMiller returns to Eugene. Having the Texas native back on campus may be key to pitching Texas native Keldrid Ben to flip away from Oklahoma to join the Ducks and McMiller in the backfield.

The most important target on campus

For most of the recruiting cycle, wide receiver Dakota Guerrant has appeared to be the Ducks' top target regardless of position. Getting the Michigan native back on campus, where he'll be the clear top priority, should go a long way toward landing his commitment. Michigan and Oregon are battling over Guerrant and getting him to shut down his recruitment would be a major win for the staff.

The 3 most likely recruits to commit

Coming into the weekend, all eyes are on in-state recruit George VanSandt as the next potential commit for the Ducks. The moment the 3-star tight end decommitted from Arkansas and set up an official visit to Eugene, he quickly became a name to watch. All of the recruiting experts are logging predictions for the Ducks to land VanSandt, and it looks like it could happen sooner rather than later.

If George VanSandt isn't the next player to commit to the Ducks, a recruit to keep an eye on is edge rusher Achilles Reyna. The Washington native has already taken his visits to Utah and Washington State, giving the Ducks the potential last pitch to the 3-star recruit. It's easy to see why Oregon is in on Reyna with an exciting frame, and the Ducks are clearly the premier school in the recruitment.

The Ducks aren't just looking to dip into Washington for Reyna, as offensive lineman Gecova Doyal will be on campus. The staff has clearly made Doyal a top priority, hosting him again this Spring and making the trips to go visit him as well. The Huskies are still expected to get the final visit, but making a strong impression could change the expectations.
