The Oregon Ducks have had an incredible Summer as Dan Lanning and the staff have secured 5 commitments over 3 official visit weekends. The good news in Eugene is as the staff continues to surge up the recruiting rankings, there's a chance that the class lands in the top 5 before the Summer is over.
This weekend is arguably the most important official visit weekend of the Summer for the Ducks' hopes of signing a Top 5 recruiting class. The Ducks will have a good mix of 5-star recruits and must get targets who the staff will look to get on board as soon as possible.
Who could commit to Oregon on final official visit weekend
Biggest dream: Xavier Sabb
The biggest dream this weekend would be closing out the recruitment of 5-star wide receiver Xavier Sabb. While Sabb has taken official visits elsewhere, the Ducks have remained the leader in this recruitment, and getting the final official visit is always pivotal. Oregon just got Dakota Guerrant on board, and with Will Mencl back on campus, picking up another elite playmaker would take this class to the next level.
Where Oregon needs to make a move: Brayden Parks
Thus far, the biggest struggle for Oregon has been getting a defensive tackle to commit as several recruitments have shifted against the Ducks. As Marcus Fakatou cut Oregon from his recruitment and Kasi Currie committed to Texas, the Ducks will get to host 4-star Brayden Parks. The Illinois native has been seen as trending toward Notre Dame, making it pivotal the Ducks make a serious move this weekend.
Commit Watch: Brayton Feister and Anthony Cartwright III
Linebacker Brayton Feister returns to campus this weekend, and the Ducks will look to surge for a commitment. The Ducks have seemed like the front runner for Brayton Feister coming into Official Visit season, and after visits to other programs, Oregon needs to try and seal the deal. Landing Toa Satele and Brayton Feister during the visit cycle with what the Ducks already had would make for a great offseason haul.
Earlier in the week, Oregon went into Michigan and stole the state's best player Dakota Guerrant, and Dan Lanning will look to do it again. Anthony Cartwright III has been trending toward the Ducks, and this weekend's official visit could result in a commitment. Signing a pair of tight ends from the High School ranks would help continue the Ducks pipeline at the tight end position.
Returning Commits: Will Mencl and Rashad Streets
The good news for Oregon this weekend is that the Ducks have the two biggest recruits on each side of the ball returning for a pivotal official visit weekend. Every offensive playmaker will be looking to meet Will Mencl, as he's ultimately going to play the biggest role in their success individually and as a team. On the defensive side, Rashad Streets is trending toward being a consensus 5-star recruit, and he could become a superstar who makes everyone's job easier on defense.
